5 Aug – Columbia Pictures has found a release date for its upcoming animated reboot of "Garfield".
As reported on Deadline, the movie, which features "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt as the lasagna-loving kitty, will be released in February of 2024.
Aside from Pratt, other voice cast for the Jim Davis-created orange feline include Samuel L. Jackson, who is playing Garfield's father Vic.
The movie will be directed by Mark Dindal of "The Emperor's New Groove" fame, with script from David Reynolds (Finding Nemo", "Mulan").
It is noted that the February 2024 date will see the movie facing off an upcoming untitled Marvel Studios' film, as well as "Toto", an animated feature about Dorothy's dog from "The Wizard of Oz".
